Choose Your Group Leader
Every great group needs a point person. I'll work closely with one designated Group Leader who helps communicate the group's overall preferences and make decisions that affect the group as a whole.
We Plan the Big Picture Together
We'll talk about who's traveling, what you're celebrating, your preferred dates, budget range and the kind of experience you want. I'll then help identify the cruise, all-inclusive resort or getaway that makes the most sense for your group.
I Work With Your Travelers
Once the group is ready to book, I can work with travelers individually for their reservations, payments and travel details. Your Group Leader doesn't need to collect everyone's personal information or coordinate every individual question.
Your Group Travel Hub
Everything your group needs, all in one place.
For many group getaways, I create a dedicated trip page with important dates, reminders, travel guidance, packing tips and other helpful information. I update it as the trip approaches, helping everyone stay informed and prepared—without the Group Leader having to keep track of every detail.
Being the Group Leader should mean bringing everyone together — not planning everyone's vacation.
Common questions
Planning a group getaway
Do I need to have a group already?
Not at all. Some clients come to me with fifteen people and a date. Others come with an idea and no one signed up yet. I can help you plan a group getaway from scratch, or you can join one of my existing yearly group sailings and travel alongside others.
How many people do I need?
Not necessarily as many as you might think. What qualifies for group rates, amenities or other benefits varies by cruise line, resort and supplier. Tell me approximately how many people you're expecting, and I'll determine the best way to structure the trip.
Do I have to manage everyone?
Not on your own. For most group trips, I work with one designated Group Leader who serves as my main point of contact for the group. We'll work together on the overall vision and key decisions, while I handle the individual travel arrangements, booking details and communication that fall within my role as your travel consultant. Your Group Leader helps keep the group connected and makes decisions that affect everyone, but they shouldn't have to become everyone's travel agent. That's what I'm here for.

Do I collect payments?
No. When you plan your group with Seasoned Sailor Getaways, payments are handled through me. Each traveler or cabin can make payments individually, so the Group Leader doesn't have to collect everyone's money. If your group prefers, travelers sharing a cabin can also choose one person to make payments for that cabin. It's completely up to your group and what everyone is most comfortable with. I'll help keep track of booking details and payment deadlines, while each traveler remains responsible for making their required payments on time.
How does everyone receive information?
I make group communication as easy as possible. In addition to communicating important booking information, I often create a dedicated online travel hub specifically for the group. It becomes a convenient place to find important dates, travel reminders, cruise or destination information, packing guidance and other helpful resources as we get closer to departure.
How far in advance should we start planning?
Earlier is usually better — especially for groups, milestone celebrations and popular sailings. Starting 9–12 months ahead often gives us more choices for cabins, rooms and pricing, while larger groups or special destinations may benefit from even more time. Planning something sooner? Ask anyway. I'll let you know what's realistically available.
